Mangalayatan, Aligarh
This area is situated at a distance of about 15 kilometers from Aligarh on the Aligarh to Agra road. There are four temples in this area. The original hero statue in the area is of Lord Adinath, which is not a traditional place of worship. It is built on an artificial hill. Its height is about 55 feet and on it there is a huge statue of Lord Adinath sitting on a lotus flower.
Apart from this, there are Lord Mahavir, Jinavanini Temple, Bahubali Temple. There is also a Manasthabha of Lord Adinath in the area, which is 63 feet high. Dhanyamuni Dasha cave has also been built in the area, for which a fee is charged.
There is also a Jain Gurukul in the area, where Jainism is taught. This village is also the birthplace of Pandit Daulat Ramji, the author of the book ‘Chhahdhala’. There are restaurants and paid lodging facilities in the area.
An annual festival is celebrated here every year from 30 January to 4 February. This is an art area.
