The temple of Lingadharini Maa Lalita Devi located at Naimisharanya, the place of penance of 88 thousand sages and the place of creation of Vedas and Puranas, is a symbol of faith of millions of devotees in the country and abroad. Lalita Devi is also known as Tripura Sundari. Hundreds of devotees visit this Devi temple every day, which is included among the 108 Shakti Peethas. There is a huge crowd during Sharadiya and Vasantik Navratri.

In Naimisharanya, Lalita Devi is mentioned among the 108 Devi Peethas. It is written in Devi Bhagwat that she could not bear the insult of her husband by Daksh and got hurt and sacrificed her life.
Features of the temple:
There is a constant flow of devotees in the temple of Mother Lalita Devi throughout the year. A large number of priests, sadhus, saints and devotees continuously recite Durga Saptashati at this temple throughout Navratri. Devotees come here before starting new work. Apart from this, people also come here to perform rituals like Mundan, Annaprasan etc. People of different religions also come to see the Mother Goddess. The idol of the mother is installed in the east direction of the sanctum sanctorum. Mother’s darshan is going to give desired results.
