Maa Sharda Temple located in Shastri Nagar Parmanatpur Mohalla of the city is the center of deep faith of the people. People not only from the district but from all the districts of Purvanchal come here for darshan and worship.

In the hall located next to the temple, the auspicious work of poor and helpless people is done. Bhandara and Prasad are distributed every year on the foundation day under the supervision of head priest Surya Prakash Jaiswal. Apart from the night vigil, a large number of people participate in the bhajan evening.
