According to the scriptures, burning bamboo causes Pitra Dosha.
Is there any scientific reason for this?
Bamboo contains abundant amounts of lead and heavy metals.
When lead burns, it forms lead oxide, which is dangerous and toxic. Heavy metals also form oxides when they burn.
But the burning of bamboo wood which is prohibited in the scriptures and cannot be burnt even in the pyre, we burn that bamboo wood in incense sticks every day.
A special chemical called phthalate is used to spread the aroma produced by burning incense sticks.
It is an ester of phthalic acid
It also enters the body with breath.
In this way, the so-called aroma of incense sticks also transports neurotoxic and hepatotoxic substances into the body along with breath.
Its mere presence can cause cancer or brain stroke.
A small amount of hepatotoxic is enough to destroy the liver.
There is no mention of incense sticks anywhere in the worship rituals in the scriptures… everywhere it is written incense only.
