If you want to visit the major Shaktipeeths of India, then your trip is incomplete without visiting Arasuri Ambaji Temple of Gujarat. This ancient temple of Amba-Bhavani is also unique because here in the sanctum sanctorum, not the idol of the mother but her Shriyantra is installed. This decorated Sriyantra itself is decorated in such a way that the form of the Mother is visible.
This temple is situated on the Gujarat-Rajasthan border. It is believed that the Mundan Sanskar of Shri Krishna was performed here during his childhood. Maryada Purushottam Ram has also come here to worship Shakti. This Shaktipeeth is also considered special because the heart of Mata Sati had fallen here.This temple is also described in Tantra Chudamani. The peak of this approximately twelve hundred years old temple is 103 feet high and 358 gold urns are installed on it. The restoration work of this temple made of white marble has been going on for about 45 years, which continues even today.
Gabbar mountain is at a distance of about three kilometers from the temple. This mountain is a center of special reverence, because it is believed that the original temple of Mata is established here. According to popular belief, there are mother’s footprints on a stone here. Chariot symbols can also be seen here. According to faith, the darshan of Mother Goddess is incomplete without visiting Gabbar Mountain.

One can visit here throughout the day. A fair is organized every year on the occasion of Bhadrapada Purnima in Ambaji temple. Apart from this, during Navratri also a large number of devotees come here for worship. Organizing Bhavai and Garba are the center of attraction here.
