Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is located at the top of the hill at southern part of Lalitpur. Located at the top of the mountain, it is a sacred Hindu temple of Shiva Ji. Legend has it that when Lord Shiva was strolling around the world in grief after the death of Satidevi, her kantha got decayed at this exact place, forming a self-manifested Shiva Linga.
