Alwar district has been the abode of sages. There are many Shiva temples here where crowds of devotees gather on Mahashivratri. Where the devotees go and perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva and get the desired results. One of them is Bhuteshwar Mahadev located in Talvriksha.

Talvriksha Dham is situated 42 km away from Narayanpur district headquarters in Alwar and about 25 km away from the sub-division area. This place has special significance both mythologically and historically. The seven feet high Shivalinga in Talvriksha is the center of attraction for the devotees. This Shivalinga is very ancient. This Shivalinga is known as Bhuteshwar Mahadev. Devotees have to stand in queues for several hours for Jalabhishek. On Monday of the month of Sawan, people from all over the district come here to perform Jalabhishek.

Shivalinga is situated in front of Ganga temple.
This Shivling located in the Talvriksha is situated right in front of the Ganga temple located here. Devotees can have darshan directly by standing in the Ganga temple. Not only is the length of this Shivalinga long, but its roundness is also very high.

An eternal flame burns behind the Shivalinga.
The temple in which this Pindi is established. There are sculptures of many gods carved in its dome. Which is all fragmented. A large number of devotees come here for darshan during Saturday, Tuesday, Purnima and Amavasya. The Anda Jyoti keeps burning behind the Shivalinga.

Amer King Ram Singh had consecrated Mother Ganga.
There is also a Ganga temple in Talvriksha which is a unique temple in itself. The idol of Mother Ganga was consecrated here by Baba Purna Das during the reign of Amer King Ram Singh. Even today, due to the neglect of the Devasthan Department, the temple is not being maintained. This temple is of medium category.

Talvriksha is the holy place of sage Mandava.
According to folklore, Talvriksha has been the penance place of Rishi Mandava. This place is called Talvriksha due to abundance of Tal, Arjun and date palm trees. Village Mundavara is situated near this Dham, which is named after Mandava Rishi. This place is also associated with Mahabharata. There is a legend that during the Mahabharata period, the Pandavas, during their exile, hid their weapons in the huge and tall trees of Talvriksha and from here went to Viratnagar and served King Virat.
