Bhuteshwar Temple of Kanpur, where every wish is fulfilled, this divine place was built overnight by ghosts
There is Bhooteshwar temple of Bholenath in Kanpur, UP. Devotees believe that Baba Bhuteshwar fulfills every wish. This is the reason why devotees from far and wide come to see Baba throughout the month of Sawan. Not only this, this temple is related to the time of Lord Shri Ram. It is also believed that this temple was built by ghosts.

In fact, there has hardly been any period or cycle in this universe in which Lord Shankar was not present. In every era, many legends and stories of praise, worship and compassion of Lord Shankar are prevalent. From Satyayuga to Kaliyuga, the glory of Omkar has been bearing fruits.
There is a thousands years old temple of Lord Shankar in Hasanpur area of Kanpur. There are legends about which the favorite ghosts of Lord Shankar built this temple overnight. Due to which it was named Bhuteshwar Mahadev. Mahant Maharaj Giri of the temple told that the temple is thousands of years old. When Lord Ram had abandoned Sita Mata, Sita Mata lived here in Bithoor with Luv and Kush. Then she used to come daily for water worship.
Mughal ruler Aurangzeb vandalized this temple. Although it is not clear to anyone, but according to what the ancestors told, the remains of broken idols are still there in the Bhuteshwar Mahadev temple. Looking at them it becomes clear that Mughal ruler Aurangzeb had attacked this temple.
There were also two tunnels in the Bhuteshwar Mahadev temple, one of which opened in the Rawatpur area and the other in the Bithoor area. Rautela, the queen of the king of Rawatpur, used to come through these tunnels to worship Bhuteshwar Mahadev. Rani Rautela was very beautiful. So that no one could see her, the Rawatpur king had built two tunnels for the queen, the remains of which are still present.
The people of the area have immense and unwavering faith in Bhuteshwar Mahadev. People believe that Bhuteshwar Baba does not leave anyone’s wish unfulfilled, all the devotees go to Baba’s court happy and offer brass bells when their wishes are fulfilled. Aarti of Mahadev is held daily at 5 am in the Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple which is attended by hundreds of devotees.
