This is a very famous ancient temple in Surapur-Sultanpur. Many people come here on Tuesday and Saturday for worship. This place has its own story in Ramayana. At this place, when Lord Hanuman was going to bring Sanjeevani for Lakshman, he killed the demon Kalanemi and rested.  Lord Hanuman also took bath in Makar Kund which is situated on the banks of Bijethua Temple. Ravana had appointed a demon named Kalanemi to hinder the work of Lord Rama. While bathing in the pond, a Makri told Hanuman ji that Kalnemi is not a saint but a demon. Devotees offer bells here to fulfill their wishes. Bijethua Mahaveeran is located in Kadipur tehsil, about 50 km from the district headquarters and can be reached by road, bus and private taxi.
