Chandeshwar Dham Shivalaya, which has been a center of faith for two hundred years, is situated on the banks of the Isan River.

The ancient Shiva temple Chandeshwar Dham is situated on the banks of Isan river in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. Experts say that this pagoda has remained a center of faith for people for more than 200 years. The temple was built by the saints after worshiping Chandeshwar Maharaj.

If we look at the history of Chandeshwar Dham Shivalaya, it is said to be more than 200 years old. Black stone Shivalinga and Nandi are installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. There are also statues of other gods in the complex. Temple priest Sarvatmanand tells that the temple was built 200 years ago by the saints after doing penance for Chandeshwar Maharaj for years.

Devotees arrive every Monday for worship
Chandeshwar Dham temple is the first choice of Shiva devotees not only in the city but also in the district. Whenever any day of Lord Bholenath comes, people reach this temple to worship Lord Shiva. The security arrangements in the temple are in the hands of the devotees themselves. Devotees reach inside the temple only after standing in line and offer prayers here. Every week on Monday, a crowd of devotees can be seen worshiping here.
