Hanumangarhi temple located at Naimisharanya is also known as Bade Hanuman temple. It is believed that during the war between Lord Rama and Ravana, Ahiravana kidnapped Rama and Lakshmana.Then Hanuman ji went to Patalpuri where he killed Ahiravana and after that, carrying Ram and Lakshman on his shoulders, he proceeded towards the south direction i.e. Lanka. Hence the idol of south facing Hanuman appeared here. It is here that the Pandavas performed penance for 12 years after the Mahabharata. This temple, which is called Pandav Fort, is popularly known as South Mukhi Hanuman Temple, it is very rare. There is a huge statue of Hanuman ji here.
