There is a wonderful Shivling here made of sapphire stone, it was established by Lord Shri Ram, such is the belief.

Kanwariyas also come here on foot and perform Jalabhishek of Baba Dudheshwar Nath Mahadev. Before partition, the city of Baba Baidyanath had the status of Deoghar of Bihar but after partition, Devkund got the status of Deoghar of Bihar. Kanwariyas even today take this place as Devghar.

Lord Shri Ram had established Shivalinga
Baba Dudheshwar Nath temple is also related to Lord Shri Ram. According to mythology, Lord Shri Ram landed here in Pushpak Viman along with Mother Sita during his return to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka. He established the blue colored Shivalinga of sapphire stone here and performed Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva. After Lord Shri Ram anointed the Shivalinga with milk, Shiva later became famous here as Baba Dudheshwar Nath.
