recognition among villagers
There is a belief among the villagers that Shivalinga was established during the forest journey of Lord Shri Ram. Shivalinga was established by the hands of Lakshmanji. It is said that Hanumanji brought Lord Shiva on his shoulders for the installation. Later, when the Brahmins went to invite the deity, it was too late. Here Laxmanji was getting angry due to the delay, because the time of installation was late. Keeping in view the time of establishment, instead of being established at the place where it was planned, it was established on the banks of river Kharun.
