The temple was established by a Naga Sadhu 500 years ago. Later the temple was established and worship started. The Shivalinga situated in the temple is brown in colour. Naga Sadhus had seen Shivalinga at this place. The temple was renovated in 1931. There was a pitcher near the temple, no matter how much milk was filled, the pitcher would not fill. There was a Shivling below it.
