Jaganathpur Temple jharkhand
Jagannath temple is located in Jagannathpur Dhurwa, Udaipur Pargana of Barkagarh princely state of Ranchi. It was built in 1691 AD by Nagvanshi king Thakur Ani Nath Shahdev. It is built on the lines of Jagannath temple of Utkal Puri. The temple is constructed on a small hill whose height is approximately 85-90 meters. There are many dense trees in the temple complex which make its environment even more pure. Many changes have been made in the structure of the temple since its construction till today. At present, there is a facility to reach the main gate of the temple directly by vehicle.
There is another small temple on a hill at a short distance from the main temple which is known as Mausibadi. On the occasion of Rath Yatra, a procession is taken out from the main temple to Mausibadi. Every year a grand Rath Yatra takes place here and a fair is held for seven days.
