Maheshwer Temple Kangosh,Himachal Pradesh

Maheshwar temple is situated in Kangos. There is no idol in the temple but Shivling is installed. It is believed that Lord Shiva who is worshipped as Maheshwar in Sungra, Kangos and Thanag appears in all the three temples one after the other. It is believed that in whichever temple Lord Shiva appears, Shivling is seen at the same time. It is necessary to wear a cloth on the head and a thread on the stomach to enter the temple, otherwise entry into the temple is prohibited without it.
