Mohinishwar Shivalaya Shiv Mandir

This beautiful temple built in 1915 by Maharani Mohini Bai Sisodia, wife of the then Maharaja Hari Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, is very attractive. This temple made of tin roof was once in a very bad condition but in 2021, the Indian Army with the help of local residents rebuilt it. It has been renovated and opened for darshan of devotees. This Shiva temple is also called Rani Mandir.

This temple built in Hindu architectural style is quite beautiful. Due to being built on a hill in Gulmarg, the area around this temple is quite beautiful.

You must have heard the popular song “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar Kanta Lage Na Kankar” from Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz’s hit movie “Aapki Ki Qasam” which was shot in this famous Mohineshwar temple.
