Neelkanth Mandir Mount Abu,Sirohi,Rajasthan

The temple is located at Mount Abu in Sirohi. The temple was built 500 years ago by a Thakur of the Rajput community. According to the folk tale, when Thakur was plowing here, he showed him the Shivalinga and after millions of efforts, he could not remove the Shivalinga from there and went home. At night, Lord Shiva told Thakur in his dream that I am present at the Shivalinga where he is leaving. Lord Shiva ordered Thakur to build a temple at the same place. As per the orders of Lord Shiva, Thakur got the temple constructed. A 4 feet high black colored Shivalinga is installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. But no one can estimate how much of this Shivling is in the Bhumital.
