Prithvi Nath Mahadev Temple Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Interesting story of ancient Prithvinath Mahadev temple of Agra is related to Prithviraj Chauhan, it seems that Melagada was found on the last Monday of Sawan.

Mahant Ajay Rajouria told that Prithviraj Chauhan tried to uproot the Shivalinga, but even after much digging, its end could not be found. After this he started worshiping. A temple was built here. After this the recognition of this temple kept increasing. This temple was named Prithvinath Mahadev Temple after his name. It is said that whichever devotee asks for anything here with a true heart, his every wish is fulfilled.

Although worship and consecration is done at Prithvinath Mahadev Temple on all four Mondays of Shravan month, but a fair is organized here on the last Monday of Shravan month.
