Raj Rajeshwar Mandir Bulandshahr

The temple of Lord Bholenath located in Bulandshahr is not only ancient but also contains many mysteries within itself. It is said that Mahadev himself appeared here. Even today a Swayambhu Shivalinga can be seen here.

Rajarajeshwar temple is famous not only in the district but also in the districts of Sadur. On the festivals of Sawan and Mahashivratri etc., devotees of Shiva who come from far and wide bring their own Kanwar to Ganga and offer it here. It is said that whoever makes a vow with a true heart goes to Baba’s court. All his wishes are fulfilled. Every day in the month of Shravan, thousands of devotees reach “Rajarajeshwar Mahadev Shivling” to perform Jalabhishek.

History:-

This is hundreds of years old temple. It is said that it was the Nagas who established this temple. However, there is no authentic information whether Shivalinga was established or whether Shivalinga itself appeared. The chief priest of the temple says that whoever offers milk and fruits here with true heart while chanting Shiva mantra on “Rajarajeshwar Mahadev Shivling”. His wishes are fulfilled. Kheer is made from the milk offered to Shivalinga and distributed among the devotees.
