Ranmukteshwar/Ranamukteshwor Temple Kathmandu,Nepal

Ranmekteshwar Mahadev’s temple near Pako, a new road in Kathmandu. According to locals, the temple was built by Bhimsen Thapa in memory of Ran Bahadur Shah. The temple is very wide. There are many pavas and sattals inside the temple. This very artistic style of the temple was also affected by the earthquake of 2072 BS and now the reconstruction work is underway. There are shops in the building near the temple road and the entrance of the temple is near the main road.

Rana Mukteshwor temple is located at the site where King Rana Bahadur Shah was killed by his step brother Sher Bahadur Shah, and was build in his memory by Bhimsen Thapa, hence it was named Rana Mukteshwor Temple.
