About 500 years ago, Mother had given darshan to the devotee in a dream, the story of this ancient temple is amazing.

Sandohan Devi Temple present inside Chowk Chowpatty is counted among the ancient temples of Lucknow. It is said that about 400-500 years ago, a devotee had a dream that the Mother Goddess was sitting in the form of Pindi in the pond of the present temple complex.

After the dream, the devotees took out the pindi form of the mother from the pond and installed it. After this, gradually other statues were installed here, recently the pond has been renovated. Once every six months, after Navratri, on the day of Ekadashi, Mother Goddess appears in complete adornment.

Devotees come with many wishes

Devotees also participate in religious events here with various wishes. Sunderkand recitation on Tuesday and Saturday evenings, Devi Bhajan on Friday and other events are organized in the temple. The priest of the temple says that apart from the Mother Goddess, there are Udgam Kund, Vaishno Mata, Kali Mata, Radhakrishna, Ganesh, Hanumad, Bhairav, Saraswati Mata, Santoshi Mata, Shiv Parvati, Lakshmi Narayan, Ram Darbar, Jagannath Lord, Navagraha, Dwadash Jyotirlinga in the temple. Lord Shani is also present along with the giant Mahadev.
