Shree Garur Temple (Kalpanath)

It is believed that if we go to this temple and take ‘stone’ from GARUR GANGA as Prasad and then worship the stone taken from holy river then no snakes , scorpions etc. will come our house.
The stone protects our home from these reptiles.

The temple dedicated to Gaurur Dev on the banks of river Ganga. This place is called as Gaurur Chatti. One can find this temple on the way to Badrinath and should be around an hr from Devprayag. Legend confirms that Gaurur Ji meditated here on Lord Vishnu for many years hence it is very sacred. There is a belief which the Pujari will tell also that if you take stone from Ganga beside the temple of Garur ji and worship daily with Tulsi and Chandan then there will be no snake in that area where ever the stone is worshipped which represents Garur ji himself as he being the king of the birds and snakes are afraid of him. Please ensure to get the stone worshipped first by the Pujari at the temple and offered to the lotus feet of Garur ji.
