A place of Hindu religious importance, the Mamma Devi Temple is located in Jalna, a part of Aurangabad division, Maharashtra. It is dedicated the Goddess Mamma Devi, who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. And what better time to visit this place than the Navratri? Hundreds of sacred devotees visit this place during this time and take part in the various religious activities like kirtans and bhajans or simply to pray and worship. The gushing reaches a whole new level during Chaitranavratri though the temple stays calm and quiet during the other parts of the year. Mamma Devi Temple is an important tourist attraction of Jalna and it is not the only one. You can visit the Kali Masjid, a beautiful mosque made from black stone. It was constructed 400 years ago and is historical importance. Moti Bagh and Moti Talab are the other places that you can visit. You can also visit Sree Jagadamba Devi Temple, located in Mantha City. with a history of more than 300 years old, this place is crowded with devotees on Tuesday. Anandi Swami Temple is also visited by religious people. It was built by Mahadji Shinde, a Maratha warrior, 250 years ago.

GETTING THERE

Jalna lies about 60 km from Aurangabad city and you can either hire car and drive to Jalna or opt for train. There are regular buses as well that you can choose. It takes around 2 hours by car to reach Jalna from Aurangabad. Once in Jalna, you would get several transport options to reach Mamma Devi and the other tourism places.
