Someshwar Shivalinga changes color every hour
Sorrows. There is an ancient temple of Someshwar form of Lord Shiva in the southeast of the pilgrimage town Soron. Shiva devotees fulfill their wishes by doing darshan, worship and rituals in this temple. During meditation, these devotees see the color of the Shivalinga installed in this temple changing every moment.
In the month of Sawan, Lord Shiva showers special blessings on his worshippers. This is the favorite month of Bholenath. It is said that by taking bath in the holy Ganges water coming out of Shiva’s hair and doing Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with Ganga water, one gets the desired results. Devotees offer their favorite fruit Dhatura and Bel leaves to Lord Neelkanth and perform Panchabhishek with Panchamrit prepared from Ganga water, ghee, dry fruits, curd and milk. They observe fast throughout the day and chant Om Namah Shivay in the temple premises and recite Shiv Strot, Shiv Chalisa. A large number of devotees also perform the ritual of Mahamrityunjaya chanting here. It is said that the ancient Shivalinga appears to be changing color every moment to the devotees who meditate in the temple. During the entire month of Sawan, a program of Shiv Vivah singing is conducted here by female devotees in the evening. There is a queue of devotees for darshan from morning till evening.
