The story of the eight incarnations of Lord Ganesha!!!

According to the Puranas, he had taken 8 incarnations to eliminate Asuri Shakti in every era.

Ganesha incarnated from time to time in every era to destroy unrighteousness. According to these incarnations, they are worshiped. According to the Puranas, he has incarnated eight different names like Vast, Mahodar, Vighneshwar to eliminate Asuri Shakti in every era. These eight incarnations remove eight types of defects of humans. The name of these eight defects is Kama, anger, item, greed, jealousy, fascination, ego and ignorance. Which incarnation of Ganapati ji eliminates which defect, it is told in his stories.

1. Vakratund – Sriganesh killed the sons of demon Matsarasura in this form. This demon was a Shiva devotee and he had received a boon by doing penance to Shiva that he would not be afraid of anyone. Matsarasura started harassing the gods with the command of Devguru Shukracharya. He also had two sons, beautiful and subject, both of them were also very tyrannical.

All the gods reached the shelter of Shiva. Shiva assured him that he should call Ganesha, Ganpati will bring Vakratund avatar. The gods worshiped and Ganpati killed both the sons of Matsarasura as Vakratund and also defeated Matsarasura. The same Matsarasura later became a devotee of Ganapati.

2. Ekadanta: – Maharishi Chyavan composed a demon named Madh with his tapobal. He was called the son of Chyavan. Mad took initiation from the guru of the demons, Shukracharya. Shukracharya made him proficient in all kinds of knowledge. When he was educated, he started opposing the gods. All the gods started harassing him.

All the gods together worshiped Ganapati. Then Lord Ganesha appeared in a single form. His four arms, a tooth, a big stomach and his head was similar to an elephant. He had loop, parshu, curb and a feeding lotus in his hand. Ekadanta gave Abhay boon to the gods and defeated Madasura in battle.

3. Mahodar – When Kartikeya killed Tarakasura, the demon Guru Shukracharya raised a demon named Mohasur against the gods. The gods worshiped Ganesha to get rid of Mohasur. Then Ganesh incarnated Mahodar. Mahodar means big stomach. When he rode on the mouse and reached the city of Mohasur, Mohasur made Ganapati his favorite without fighting.

4. Vikat – Lord Vishnu dissolved the sativa of his wife Vrinda for the destruction of a demon named Jalandhar. A demon was born from him, his name was Kamasura. Kamasura worshiped Shiva and got the boon of Trilok Vijay. After this, he started torturing the gods just like other demons.

Then all the gods meditated on Lord Ganesha. Then Lord Ganpati incarnated in a terrible form. In the form, God came to the peacock and descended. He defeated Kamasura by giving Abhay boon to the gods.

5. Gajanan – Lobhasura was born from Dhanraj Kubera. He went to the shelter of Shukracharya and started worshiping Shiva on the orders of Shukracharya. Shiva was pleased with Lobhasura. He gave him the boon of being fearless.

After this, Lobhasura captured all the worlds. Then Devguru advised all the gods to worship Ganesha. Ganesh appeared in Gajanan form and gave a boon to the gods that I would defeat Lobhasura. Ganesha sent a message to Lobhasura for war. On the advice of Shukracharya, Lobhasura accepted his defeat without fighting.

6. Lombodar – A demon named Krodhasura worshiped Suryadev and took the boon of the universe victory from him. Due to this boon of Krodhasura, all the gods became frightened.

He went out to fight. Then Ganapati stopped him as a long form. Explained to Krodhasura and assured him that he could never be an invincible warrior in the world. Krodhasura stopped his victorious campaign and left everything and went to Patal Lok.

7. Vighnraj – Once Parvati laughed loudly during a conversation with her friends. A huge man originated from his laughter. Parvati named her Mama (Mamta). After meeting Mata Parvati, he went for penance in the forest. At the same time, he met Shambarasura. Shambarasura learned many demonic powers to him. He asked Mama to worship Ganesh. Mama pleased Ganapati and demanded the secret of the universe.

Shambar married her to her daughter Mohini. When Shukracharya heard about the tenacity of Mama, he conferred him in the post of demon. Mamasura also started torture and put all the gods captive and put it in prison. The gods then worshiped Ganesha. Ganesh descended as Vighneshwar. He rescued the gods by honoring Mamasura.

8. Dhumvarna – Once Suryadev came sneeze and a monster originated from his sneeze. His name was important. He went near Shukracharya and made him a guru. He became egoistic to ego. He settled a kingdom of himself and got a boon by pleasing Lord Ganesha with penance.

He also spread a lot of torture and incest. Then Ganesha incarnated as a smoke. His color was like smoke. They were gigantic. He had a horrific loop in his hand, which led to many flames. Ganesh ji defeated Ahantasura as a smoke. He gave him his devotion by defeating him in war.
