What is the benefit of waking up in Brahma Muhurta?
The time immediately following the last quarter of the night is called Brahma Muhurta. Our sages and saints have attributed this moment to its special significance. According to them, this is the best time to break sleep. Waking up during Brahma Muhurta bestows beauty, strength, knowledge, wisdom, and health. One should awaken during Brahma Muhurta, four hours before sunrise. Sleeping during this time is prohibited by the scriptures.
Brahma Muhurta means auspicious time. The last quarter of the night, i.e., the time between 3 and 5 a.m., is called Brahma Muhurta.
“Brahma Muhurta ya nidra sa punya kshayakaarini” (Sleep during Brahma Muhurta destroys virtue).
According to the sages and saints of Sanatan Dharma, this time has a beautiful name – “Amrit Vela.” Its significance for devotion to God is self-evident. This is the best time for devotion to God. Mythological significance: According to the Valmiki Ramayana, Lord Hanuman arrived at Ashoka Vatika at the time of Brahmamuhurta. There, he heard Mother Sita reciting Vedic mantras.

Meaning: Waking up in Brahmamuhurta bestows beauty, wealth, wisdom, health, longevity, etc. By doing so, the body becomes as beautiful as a lotus.
