Lord Krishna is said to have been the complete incarnation and master of all sixteen arts inherent in man. The word “art” here is not used in reference to any particular art, but rather to the level of expression of human potential. Here is a brief description of the sixteen arts that Lord Krishna possessed. These are the sixteen arts that every person possesses, to a greater or lesser extent.
Kala 1 – Sri Sampada
A person endowed with Sri Kala has the permanent abode of Goddess Lakshmi. Such a person is spiritually wealthy. No one returns empty-handed from such a person. A person endowed with this art leads a life of luxury.
Art 2 – Land Wealth
One who possesses the ability to rule the earth and owns a large area of land is considered to possess the art of land.
Art 3 – Fame and Wealth
Those who possess the art of fame are respected and honored throughout the world. Such individuals command trustworthiness and actively participate in public welfare activities.
Art 4 – Speech Hypnosis
Speech hypnosis is also an art. The mere sound of someone who possesses it calms the anger of others. The mind is filled with love and devotion.
Art 5 – Lila
The fifth art is called Lila. A person who possesses it experiences bliss just by being seen and accepts life as a gift from God.
Art 6 – Radiance
Anyone whose beauty automatically captivates the mind, whose face one wants to gaze upon again and again, is endowed with the art of radiance.
Art 7 – Vidya
The seventh art is Vidya. Those who possess it are adept in the Vedas and Vedangas, as well as in warfare, music, politics, and diplomacy.
Art 8 – Vimala
One who is free from deceit and treats everyone equally is considered to possess the art of Vimala.
Art 9 – Utkarshini Shakti
A person endowed with this art has the ability to inspire people to take action. Such a person has the ability to motivate people to achieve a specific goal.
Art 10 – Discernment of Milk and Water
A person endowed with this skill possesses discernment. Such a person is able to guide others with their discernment.
Art 11 – Action
A person possessing this art not only possesses the ability to act himself, but can also inspire others to act and help them succeed.
Art 12 – Yoga Shakti
A person who possesses this art possesses the ability to control the mind. He blurs the distinction between mind and soul, attaining the highest level of yoga.
Art 13 – Humility
A person who possesses this art possesses humility. Such a person is untouched by ego. Despite being proficient in all the arts, he remains devoid of pride.
Art 14 – Truth-Perception
A person possessing this art possesses the ability to grasp all kinds of truths, both soft and hard. Such a person is truthful and does not shy away from speaking even harsh truths for the sake of public good and the protection of religion.
Art 15 – Dominance
A person possessing this art possesses the ability to establish influence over people. When necessary, he is successful in making people feel his influence.
Art 16 – The Ability to Grace
A person endowed with this art has a tendency to benefit others. He is driven by a spirit of reciprocity. He helps anyone who comes to him according to his ability.
