ISKCON Almviks Gård is a spiritual eco-village community with 70 villagers outside  Järna, near Stockholm. ISKCON Almviks Gård was founded in 1981 and is  part of the international Hare Krishna movement. Our eco-village is located by the beautiful lake Ogan, surrounded by scenic forests and  fields. In the center of the village is our temple where we perform daily Vedic ceremonies  and services.

All the villagers share an interest in the ancient Vedic teachings, the practice of  spiritual life and bhakti yoga, as well as concern for mother cow and mother earth. Together, we want to further develop our eco-village with a focus on ecological  sustainability, organic agriculture, sustainable forestry,  cow protection  and education in  various subjects.
