Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple Ujjain

Temple priest Avadhesh Kumar Sharma told that Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji Temple Gothda was established in 1996. Hanumanji is called Panchmukhi because he has five faces. The face of this temple is towards north. Here, Panch Bhog is offered separately to Lord Hanuman’s Panch Mukh every day and Prasad of sugar candy is distributed to the people daily.

Astrologer Pandit Anandshankar Vyas told that Bade Ganesh was established in 1904. There is a huge idol of Lord Ganesha in the façade of the temple. In the second part, Panchmukhi Hanuman appears to the devotees in a huge form. Actually, the idol that the devotees get to see is a larger version of the Ashta Dhatu idol which is about 150 years old. The idol of Ashtadhatu is also enshrined near the big idol. His grandfather Narayanji Vyas had therefore built a big statue, So that the devotees can have darshan of God conveniently. According to religious belief, worshiping Panchmukhi Hanuman removes all types of obstacles. A large number of devotees come here to worship the Lord for removal of obstacles. It is believed that by seeing Panchmukhi Hanumanji and reciting Panchmukhi Hanuman Kavach, all the 6 types of obstacles of the devotees are removed. According to religious texts, Hanumanji was born at the time of sunrise.
