Prayageshwar Mahadev Mandir Varanasi
Prayagraj
According to Chapter 61 of Kashi Khand, Lord Vishnu has described various pilgrimages and different forms of Keshav in Kashi.
Prayag Tirtha (Dashasvamedha) has been given great importance. Special mention has also been made of Prayageshwar. The devotee who takes bath in Prayag Tirtha in the month of Magh and worships Prayageshwar, gets wealth, grains, devotee children and ultimately attains salvation.
It is important to mention one thing. Prayag is a famous place in Allahabad and thousands of devotees gather here for the holy bath in the month of Magh (during winter). Once in twelve years, the Kumbh Mela is held and during the month of Magh that year, 70 to 80 lakh devotees visit this place. Prayag Tirtha in Kashi is a part of Dashashwamedh and taking a bath here gives the benefits of taking a bath in Prayag in Allahabad.

Prayageshwar is situated in the premises of Bandi Devi Temple, situated at D.17/100, Dashashwamedh. Devotees can go to Dashashwamedh by rickshaw and have to take a right turn just before the ghat. It is worth asking directions from local shopkeepers as there are many labyrinthine (confusing) streets nearby.
types of worship
The temple remains open from 8 am to 11 am, however devotees can have darshan through the grilled door all the time.
