Many of his devotees have also got Shobhan Sarkar written on their vehicles. When the devotees continued to consider him as the form of government, Swamiji had also made his dogmatism a weapon for the devotees. Not only in Shobhan but in Unnao, Fatehpur and Chitrakoot, Swamiji not only established temples but also did many works for the upliftment of the society.
Water crisis solved by public pump canal
Started the construction of public canal, seeing this the villagers of nearby villages also started coming together to donate labor. Without any government help, about 30 tractors, two JCBs and 250 laborers got busy. Within three months a public canal and three lakes were constructed. To ensure that there is no shortage of water in the canal, on the instructions of Shobhan Sarkar, a five meter deep lake was created at a distance of 2.5 km from the pumping set installed in the Pandu river for a canal with a width of 10 feet from the bottom and 15 feet from the mouth.
Munim Shukla, resident of Shobhan village, Ramji of Bairi Dariav and Manoj of Shobhan say that neither the help of engineer nor any expert was taken in the construction of the canal. Shobhan government sent several proposals for electricity connection to the state government for the canal. When the hearing was not held for a long time, it seemed as if he had sent the message of his stubbornness and officers and leaders came running. With the approval of senior leaders of the then government, the officers immediately got the electricity connection done for the pump canal. More than 40 villages got relief after the canal was started.Today, water is available all the time to the farmers of more than 40 villages including Shobhan, Bairi Dariyav, Jugrajpur, Kalyanpur, Hridaypur, Rudapur, Asai, Anuppur, Bairi Basta, Singhpur, Lalaupurwa, Dhakanpurwa, Gambhirpur, Parvatpurwa and Dundpur.
Bridge built in Gauri village
Boat was the only means to cross the Pandu River, located about two km from Shobhan Ashram. People were facing problems in commuting from that side and this side. Shobhan Sarkar understood the problem of the people and decided to build a bridge on the river through labor donation. When the construction of the bridge started, officers and leaders took cognizance. Shobhan Sarkar constructed Gauri bridge on Pandu river with Shramdan.
Opened schools, colleges and hospitals
After taking over the ashram, Shobhan Sarkar first decided to remove the darkness of education. Education of children in the villages on the banks of river Pandu was considered necessary. Junior and Inter College was built in Shobhan village, where today thousands of children are getting educated. Along with this, Arogya Dham Hospital was built on Sambharpur Road from the Ashram, where he instructed one of his disciple Doctor to sit regularly. He continued to hold the reins of the hospital for a long time. Later, after his death, another disciple doctor is now running the hospital.
Brahmalin Shobhan Sarkar became a recluse at the age of 11, left his home and became engrossed in penance.
