The members of this temple committee say that it was established in 1861 by Maharaja Prayag Narayan after living continuously for 11 years. At the same time, the members claim that this is the second temple of Lord Lakshmi Narayan in the entire state. A temple is established in Vrindavan.
Abhinav Tiwari, manager of Maharaj Prayag Narayan Shivala Committee, told that in this temple Lord Lakshmi Narayan is worshiped according to Tamil rituals. Here common people come to worship Sridevi, Bhudevi, Leeladevi, Lord Sudarshan, Lord Garun, Lord Venkatesh. The festivals here mainly include Baikuntha Utsav and Brahma Utsav. When Baikunth festival takes place. Then the door to Vaikuntha opens. Similarly, Brahma Utsav is celebrated for 11 days on the foundation day. This temple was established just a day before Magh Purnima.
