Shri Padmavati Shaktipeeth Panna,Madhya Pradesh

Panna is called Padmavati Dham because there is a temple of Padmavati Devi here. It is believed that when Sati had immersed herself in the Agni Agni Kund, Lord Vishnu had cut her leg through Chakra and fell in Padmavati Dham. It was there that Padmavati Devi descended and the temple was established there, hence Panna has been declared a holy city.

At the time of Navratri, women are blessed with the worship of Mother Goddess.
