Faith: Maharaja Sugriva is worshiped even today in this fort present in the city of Ram.

According to the mythological story, just by having darshan at this place, the enemies of the person who visits are destroyed.

Ayodhya: There is definitely some legend and story related to almost every temple present in Ayodhya, the holy birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, this is the holy land where Lord Shri Vishnu himself incarnated in human form and performed his pastimes. The history of this mythological city is very sacred, Sugriv Fort situated near the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in this holy city is such a historical and mythological place in itself, whose mere sight destroys all the enemies. This ancient fort was built by Maharaja Bharat in Tretayuga with precious stones to welcome Lord Shri Ram when he returned to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka. After which Lord Shri Ram, the king of Ayodhya, gave this place to Maharaja Sugriva to live in Ayodhya. Since then this famous place is known as Sugriva Fort, even today the mythology of this place is recorded in the Archeology Department.

According to the mythological story, just by visiting this place, the enemies of the person who visit are destroyed.
Sugriva Fort, a very mythological place located very close to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya, was also renovated by Maharaja Vikramaditya during the re-establishment of Ayodhya. Even today, Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman Bharat Shatruhan along with King Sugriva are worshiped in this temple. Describing the history of this place, Jagadguru Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj tells that before going to exile, Lord Shri Ram had asked Maharaja Bharat to protect the jewelery diamonds, gems and rubies kept at this place.  After 14 years, when King Ram returned to Ayodhya, Bharat Maharaj built a fort from the gems present at this place to welcome Lord Shri Ram. When Shri Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years, Sugriva Maharaj was also with him.  After reaching Ayodhya, Lord Shri Ram saw the shining palaces and asked Bharat whether this palace was not there before, then Bharat said that it should be built to welcome him, after this Lord Ram said that apart from me, Maharaja will be the most important person in conquering Lanka. Sugriva also contributed, after which Lord Shri Ram gave this fort to Maharaja Sugriva. Since then this place is famous as Sugriva Fort.
