The secret of Satyam, Shivam and Sundaram!

Share

Everyone has heard or read about Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram, but most people may not know their meaning or connotation. They might interpret Satyam as God, Shivam as Lord Shiva, and Sundaram as beauty, such as art. But now we’ll explain what Hindu religion and philosophy ultimately say about these concepts.

Although the Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas offer different views on this matter, they all agree on its fundamental meaning. What the perspectives of religion and philosophy might be on this matter is also a deeply serious matter. Even within philosophy, there are varying schools of thought, but ultimately, everyone’s opinions on what constitutes truth may differ.

Satyam👉 The second part of Yama in Yoga is Satya. In Hinduism, Brahma is considered the only truth. The person who tries to know everything except Brahma (God) spends his entire life in illusion. This Brahma is formless, without any change and without any attributes. The option to know him is to know oneself. That is, the soul itself is the truth, which is immortal, without any change and without any attributes. While living in the body, it considers itself to be born, which is an illusion. Knowing this illusion is the truth.

“There is only one Truth (God). Poets call Him by different names, such as Indra, Varuna, and Agni.” – Rigveda
“He who first sees God in different forms in this world and the next, passes from death to death, that is, he is repeatedly trapped in the cycle of birth and death.” – Kathopanishad-10.

The supernatural meaning of truth 👉 Truth is difficult to understand, but not for those who are well versed in religion and philosophy. Truth is generally understood to mean non-lie, but this is incorrect. Satya is composed of the metals sat and tat, meaning this and that—this and that, because truth is not entirely one-sided. This universe, filled with the divine, is a network of souls.

Life, the world, and the mind are all contradictions. Hidden within this contradiction is the steadfast soul and God. Understanding the truth requires both a logical and perceptive mind. Logical intelligence comes from the dissolution of confusion and duality. Confusion and duality are dispelled by remaining consistent in thought, word, and deed.

In the scriptures, the soul, the Supreme Soul, love, and religion are considered truth. Nothing is greater than truth. Living with truth keeps the mind light and happy. A light and happy mind keeps the body healthy and disease-free. Very few people understand the usefulness and potential of truth. Speaking the truth leads to salvation. Everyone understands the meaning of salvation.

“Sat Chit Anand” 👉 Sat means the basic particle or element, Chit means soul and Anand means the experience generated by the union of nature and soul and on the contrary, experiencing the pure self. … The existence of God and soul is the truth; everything else is due to their existence. The soul begins to experience Sat (truth), Chit (concentration of mind) and Anand (a mere glimpse of supreme bliss). That is, the state of bliss created when the mind gets absorbed or merged in the truth of the soul is the state of Sachchidananda.

The secular meaning of truth: Knowing the truth is difficult. God is the truth. Speaking the truth is also truth. Supporting truth is also truth. Understanding, listening to, and practicing truth is certainly difficult, but it becomes easier with practice. What is visible is not the truth, but understanding it is the truth. In other words, knowing what is false is the truth. Only by knowing the falsehood does a person come onto the true path of truth.

When a person strays from the path of truth, they create problems in their life. A liar harbors confusion and conflict, leading to mental illness. Mental illness has a devastating impact on the body. In such a situation, a logical mind is required to understand the truth. Logical intelligence comes from the elimination of confusion and conflict. Confusion and conflict are eliminated by maintaining consistency in thought, speech, and action.

The meaning of truth is generally considered to be not telling a lie, but Satya is made up of the metals Sat and Tat, which means this and that – that is, this also and that also, because truth is not completely one-sided. It is not true to mistake a rope for a snake, but the belief and fear that arises after seeing it is true. That is, the rope is not a snake, but the fear is true. Actually, we did not see any lie, but in our ignorance, we considered a lie to be the truth and because of that, we made ourselves sick.

So, to understand the truth, you need logical reasoning, truthfulness, and conscious living. The joys and sorrows of life are not true, but experiencing them is true. This realization, or experience, occurs only as long as you live by accepting both joys and sorrows as true.

Benefits of Truth 👉 Speaking the truth and always practicing truthfulness increases a person’s self-confidence. The mind feels healthy and powerful. One is relieved of depression and a tense life. The body develops the ability to fight any kind of disease. By remaining equanimous in joy and sorrow, a person invites a carefree and happy life. All kinds of illness and grief are cured.

Shivam 👉 People often associate Shivam with Lord Shiva, but Lord Shiva is distinct from Shiva. Shiva is formless, attributeless, and abstract truth. Certainly, Mother Parvati’s husband, absorbed in that ultimate truth through meditation, is also a form of Shiva, but not Shiva.

Shiva means auspicious. Meaning, if there is truth, there must be auspiciousness associated with it; otherwise, it cannot be true. That truth itself is auspicious, meaning absolutely good. The omnipotent soul is Shivam. The soul exists in the form of a linga between the two eyebrows.

Sundaram: This entire nature is called Sundaram. This visible world is called the form of nature. Nature reveals our nature and qualities. This nature, consisting of five sheaths, is divided into eight elements.

Triguna Prakriti 👉 Three qualities originated in nature from the supreme element – Satva, Raja and Tama. These qualities are subtle and extrasensory, hence they are not visible.

These three qualities also have qualities – lightness, mobility, lightness, gravity etc. These qualities also have qualities, hence it is clear that these qualities are in the form of matter. Matter means substance. Matter means that which is visible and which can be seen, felt or experienced with any kind of subtle instrument. These are the building elements of the universe or nature.

From Prakriti itself, Mahat was born, possessing the equality and predominance of the above qualities. Sattva is calm and stable, Rajas is active, and Tama is explosive. Creation took place through the collision of these three elements within the nature element of that one Supreme Being.

First, Mahat was born, which is called Buddhi. Buddhi is the unconscious or subtle element of nature. From Mahat or Buddhi, ego arose. Ego also has many sub-parts. This is the element of the individual. Individual means that which is being expressed in Sattva, Raja and Tama. From Sattva, Manas, five senses and five organs of action were born. From Tama, Panchtanmatra, Panchmahabhuta (sky, fire, air, water and planets and stars) were born.

Panchkoshas: Matter, Prana, Mind, Cognition, and Anandmaya. These are called Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijnanamaya, and Anandmaya. In reality, you live in a body that is part of the material world. Within your body is Pranamaya, or life, which is filled with the element of air. This element drives your survival. If you act according to what you see and hear, you live in Prana, meaning you are nothing more than a living being.

Manomaya means that in addition to the life force (prana), your body also includes the mind, also known as Chitta. It is influenced by the five senses and has the capacity to understand. In addition to this mind, you also possess the Vijnana Mana, an intellect that can analyze and divide.

As this deepens, the mind disappears and the person lives in awareness. Only when this awareness deepens does a person attain his true nature, that is, the blissful form. That is, the soul which knows its existence well without the five senses.

Eight elements 👉 Infinite-Mahat-Darkness-Sky-Air-Fire-Water-Earth. Infinite is called soul. Earth, water, air, fire, sky, mind, intellect and ego are the eight elements of nature.

Therefore, we are surrounded by a beautiful world and nature. Only the person who separates himself from this world and finds himself attains the truth. There are only three elements in the world: Satya, Shiva, and Sundaram: God, soul, and nature. These are called truth, consciousness, and bliss.
