Wishes are fulfilled in Sati temple

Sati temple located in Surajkund is also famous among the devotees for fulfilling the wishes. There is a huge crowd of people lighting lamps in the court of Sati Mata in the morning and evening. There is no place to keep sesame seeds here during Navratri.

The history of the temple is ancient

Pandit Shravan Kumar, the priest of the temple told that in Samvat 1080, after the death of her husband in the war, Gyan Devi had attained chastity by sacrificing her life through Yoga Agni in Suraj Kund Khandav forest and even then the temple was built here. An annual festival is celebrated here every year on Amavasya of Bhado.

Features of the temple

-Along with the temple of Sati Mata, there is also a monastery of Mansha Devi in ​​the temple which has its own distinct specialty. All the sorrows of the people who come here go away.

-South facing Shankar Hunman Temple is established in the temple premises itself. In which Lord Hanuman is sitting in Padmasana and meditating on his original form Lord Shiva. This is said to be the most peaceful posture of Hanuman ji.

-Along with this, there is an ancient Kadamba tree in the temple, sitting under which Gyano Devi had received permission from Lord Yogeshwar to commit Sati.

-The construction work of a grand temple of Lord Radha-Krishna is going on in the temple premises itself.

It is believed in the temple that if any person offers Prasad here by lighting a lamp continuously for forty days, then Sati Mata definitely fulfills the wishes of the devotees. After the fulfillment of the vow, the devotees perform Udyapan. While praying in the temple, a Kalava is also tied there. In which after the completion of the vow, the devotee opens it after doing Udyapan.

Priest Shravan Kumar told that Mata especially likes red colored Chunri and coconut. Along with this, people also offer makeup items to the Mother Goddess. So that his family remains happy and prosperous.
